BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9105 screen
Tools required for disassembly: Torx 5 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Two screws
need to be removed, circled below. They're covered with white stickers
but you can push through them with the tip of your screwdriver.

Pull the plastic bezel in the direction shown by the arrow in order
to remove it. A little force is required.

With the bezel your phone should look like below. Now remove the two
circled screws you can see, circled below.

Now remove the lens by using your plastic tool as a lever. Do this
along the join of both sides of the lens, then at the top of the lens,
as shown below.

Once you have the lens removed your phone should look like below.

Now pull the keypad towards you. It should come away with little
force.

With the keypad removed your phone should look like below. Remove
the two crews you can see, circled below.

Pry the yellow part away. Simply pull it towards you and it should come
loose.

Now lift the black plastic part up slightly.

You now have access to a ribbon connector. This attaches like a plug and
socket. Just lever this up to unplug.

The ribbon connector has been disconnected and the black plastic
part will now be free. Circled below is the version number of the
screen. In this case, 002/111.

You can now lift the circuit board away from the phone's chassis, as
shown below.

The next stage is to remove the screen. To do so, first use a hot air
gun or hair dryer to heat around the edge of the screen. This will
loosen the adhesive that holds it in place. Then carefully slide a
credit card right under the screen and it will come loose. Now pull the
black/blue ribbon that's connected to the screen in the direction shown
by the arrows. The screen should now come free.

With the screen removed your phone should look like below. To remove the
trackpad, pull the ribbon away from its socket, like with the screen.

You should now have the trackpad removed. Reverse
the whole procedure for reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support formymobile.co.uk and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
