Tools required for disassembly: Torx 6 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
First remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Next
remove the four torx 6 screws you can see, circled below.

Now run something like the edge of a credit card all the way around
the join of the front cover in order to free it.

With the front cover removed, your phone should look like
below. The keypad will also be loose. Now remove the screw you can see,
circled below in red. Two ribbon cables, circled below in white, need to
be disconnected. Each attaches like a plug and socket, so just lever
each one up to unplug.

Turn the phone over and push your screwdriver into the recess
indicated below. This will release a catch holding the circuit board in
place.

You can now lift the circuit board away from the chassis, as shown
below.

The small parts (speaker, AV flex, DC jack, antenna) can be levered
out of the chassis. Make sure you remove the cap for the earphone socket
first.

You should now be able to lift the LCD screen out of the frame, as
shown below.

Now lift the frame towards you to reveal another ribbon cable. Again
this attaches like a plug and socket, so just lever it away from the circuit board to unplug.

Disassembly is now complete. Reverse the whole
procedure for reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support formymobile.co.uk and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
