Nokia N86 8MP screen
Tools required for disassembly: Torx screwdriver set,
Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Six screws
need to be removed. Use your torx 6 screwdriver for the four at the top
and the torx 4 screwdriver for the other two.

Slide something like a credit card under the keypad to release it.

With the keypad removed your phone should look like below. You'll
see two screws but you don't need to remove these if you are taking your
phone apart to replace the LCD screen.

Now lift the phone part of the phone away, as shown below. A ribbon
connector, circled, needs to be released. It attaches like a plug and
socket and should be levered away from the circuit board to disconnect.

Your phone should now look like below. Remove the two screws you
see.

Now move the slide down and remove another two screws.

Now slide your credit card behind the front cover to release it.

Lift the slide part away, as shown below. A ribbon connector, circled,
needs to be released. It attaches like a plug and socket and should be
levered away from the circuit board to disconnect.

Your phone should now look like below. Next lift the screen from the
points shown by the arrows below.

You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole procedure
for reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support formymobile.co.uk and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
