Nokia Lumia 920 screen
Tools required for disassembly: Torx 2 screwdriver,
Torx 4 screwdriver,
Torx 5 screwdriver,
Mobile phone opening tool
(If you are replacing a badly cracked digitizer glass, cover the
screen in sticky tape before starting). Start by removing the sim tray
by pushing your sim removal tool into the hole circled below. If you
don't have a sim removal tool, use a paperclip.

The sim tray is now free.

Next, remove the torx 5 screws at the bottom of the phone, circled
below.

Now remove the back cover by pushing it away from the rest of the
phone, as indicated by the arrows below.

As the back cover starts to come free, move your way around the rest
of the phone until the back cover is loose.

The back cover is now loose, but still connected by a ribbon cable,
as you can see below. Now peel away the copper tape, indicated by the
arrow below.

The copper tape is now free.

Next, use your smallest screwdriver to carefully lever free the metal
cover from the point indicated by the arrow below.

Two more ribbon cables, circled below, now need disconnecting. Each has
a plug and socket like connection, so lever each up, away from the
circuit board.

The back cover is now completely free from the rest of the phone.
Disconnect the ribbon cable circled near the top of the image, Again,
this has a plug and socket like connection, so lever it up, away from
the circuit board. Also remove the screw circled near the bottom of the
image. The battery holder, indicated by the arrow, can now be levered
free.

The battery holder has now been removed and the battery can be lifted
away from the phone.

The battery is now free.

Next, remove the two screws circled near the top of the image. Another
ribbon cable, circled near the bottom of the image, needs disconnecting.
Again, this has a plug and socket like connection, so lever up, away
from the circuit board.

Now lift up the ribbon cable indicated by the arrow. It's stuck down
lightly with double sided tape.

You now have access to another ribbon cable. Again, this has a plug and
socket like connection, so disconnect as per previous ribbon cables.

Now tip the phone on its side and remove the two circled screws.

Now pry back the two metal clips circled in the battery compartment.

Also pry back the two plastic clips circled below. Be careful as these
are quite delicate.

Now use a plastic tool to lever away the circuit board's frame.

The circuit board and frame are now free from the screen.

If you wish to remove the earpiece, loudspeaker or camera, first remove
the screw circled in red, then disconnect the coaxial cable at both
ends, circled in white. This part will now fold open into three parts.

The frame folds open in to three parts, as shown below, the earpiece
will come loose, and you can
simply lever free the camera and loudspeaker, circled below.

The earpiece, camera and loudspeaker are free.

To separate the touch screen/digitizer from the LCD (display), first
apply heat to the front of the screen using a hot air gun or hairdryer
for around 60 seconds, then push your opening tool into the recess
indicated by the arrow below. This will lift the touch screen slightly
on the other side, which will allow you to lever it free.

Keep applying heat the the front of the screen and gradually moving your
plastic tool all the way around the edge of the screen until it comes
away completely. Be careful not to catch the ribbon cable from the LCD, bottom right of the screen

The touch screen/digitizer is now free.

To remove the LCD screen (display) from its frame, first apply heat to
the reverse side of the screen for around 60 seconds, then push the
screen out from the point indicated by the arrow below. Keep applying
heat and pushing the screen and it will come away.

The LCD screen (display) is now free. Disassembly is now complete.
