Sony Ericsson K608i LCD screen
Tools required for disassembly: Torx 6 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
Remove your back cover, battery and sim. Four screws need to be
removed, circled below.

Run something like a credit card around the join of the battery
compartment to release it from the rest of the phone.

With the battery compartment removed your phone should look like
below. Next lift the circuit board away from the front cover. It should
come away with little force.

Your phone should now look like below.

A small recess, circled below, allows you to lever the LCD screen
out.

The LCD screen will still be connected by a ribbon cable. Remove the
small piece of sticky tape which covers the connector, circled below.

Below is a close up of the connector. The connector has a black
hinge which needs to be lifted up where the ribbon enters its socket.
Then simply pull the ribbon away from its socket.

You should now have the LCD removed. Reverse the whole procedure for
reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support formymobile.co.uk and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
