Tools required for disassembly: Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Then remove
the six screws you can see, circled below.

Next, slide something thin and flat into the battery compartment, at
the point indicated by the arrow below. This will raise the battery compartment
and allow you to pry it free.

Below you can see the battery compartment coming away from the rest
of the phone. Now simply pull it free.

With the battery compartment removed, your phone should look like
below. Three ribbon connectors, circled below, need to be disconnected.
Each attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever each one up to unplug.
You can now lift the camera free. The ringer, indicated by the arrow,
should be carefully lifted up. Be careful not the damage the wires
connecting it to the circuit board.

With the camera removed and the other parts disconnected in the last
stage, your phone should look like below.

Now pull the housing in the direction shown by the arrows and use
your plastic tool to lift the circuit board free. Be careful that the
switches for the volume, multitasking and camera buttons come away with
the circuit board and don't stay stuck to the side of the phone.

The circuit board should now be free, as shown below. Now lever the
metal plate from the points circled in red then push the metal plate in
the direction shown by the arrow. When you reassemble the phone, make
sure the metal plate slots into the points circled in white first.

With the metal plate removed your phone should look like below. The
power, multitasking, camera and volume buttons may also come away at
this point, as you can see below. Now peel the gold tape away, indicated
by the arrow. You can now lever the screen at the top and lift it out.

You should now have the LCD screen removed, as shown below. Disassembly
is now complete. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support formymobile.co.uk and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
