Below you can see the clamp, front facing camera and proximity
sensor/earpiece, having been removed. Now disconnect the three ribbon cables
circled in red. Again, each has a plug and socket type connection, so lever
up, away from the circuit board. Also remove the screw you can see, circled
in white. You can now lift the circuit board away from the rest of the
phone.
The circuit board is now free, as shown below.
To remove the main camera, turn the circuit board over the disconnect
the ribbon cable circled below. Again, this has a plug and socket type
connection, so lever up, away from the circuit board.
The main camera is now free. To remove the sim and memory card readers,
first heat the part for around 30 seconds with a hot air gun or hair
dryer (this softens the adhesive tape holding it in place), then slide
something thin and flat, like a guitar plectrum or credit card, under
the part from the point indicated by the arrow.
The sim and memory card readers are now free.
To remove the vibrating motor, circled below left, apply some heat and
then lever it free. To remove the headphone socket, circled below right,
remove the screw next to it then simply lift it free.
The vibrating motor and headphone socket are now free and can be
reattached to your new screen, along with all the other parts. Disassembly is now complete. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support formymobile.co.uk and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
