Tools required for disassembly: Torx 4 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
First remove your back cover, battery and sim. Six screws
need to be removed, circled below in red. The two screws at the bottom
are shorter than the other four so make sure they go back in the right
place.

Now use something thin and flat, like the edge of a credit card, to
lever the keypad out, as shown below.

With the keypad removed your phone should look like below. Two black
clips hold the circuit board in place. Pry these open and the back of
the phone will come away from the main body of the phone.

With the back of the phone removed your phone should look like
below. Circled is the loudspeaker. If you need to remove this simply
lever it out of its compartment.

Below you can see the loudspeaker, having been removed.

Looking at the back of the circuit board you'll see a ribbon
connector which needs to be disconnected. It attaches like a plug and
socket. Just lever this up, away from the circuit board, to unplug. The
circuit board will then be free.

With the circuit board removed your phone should look like below.
Next remove the two circled screws.

Now use your plastic tool to lever the front cover off. Lever near the
top of the phone and on both sides.

The front cover should now be free, as shown below.
A ribbon connector (circled near the top of the phone) needs to be disconnected.
Again, this attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever this up to
unplug. Now push your screwdriver against the two circled points and the
LCD screen should release. Don't use too much force or you could damage
the screen..

With the LCD screen removed your phone should look like below. If you also want to replace the
flex ribbon or earpiece then continue reading. If you only want to replace the LCD screen, you don't
need to follow the guide any further. Reverse the whole procedure for
reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support formymobile.co.uk and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!

Next lever the LCD frame away, as shown below.

With the LCD frame removed your phone should look like below.

To remove to earpiece, pull back the metal clip, circled below, then
simply lift the earpiece away.

With the earpiece removed your phone should look like below. To remove
the flex ribbon cable first heat it with a hot air gun or hair dryer.
The flex ribbon cable is held in place with double sided tape and it'll
peel away a little easier if you heat it first.

The flex ribbon cable is now removed. Reverse the whole procedure for
reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support formymobile.co.uk and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
