Nokia X3 LCD screen
Tools required for disassembly: Torx 6 screwdriver,
Torx 5 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Two screws
need to be removed, circled below.

Run something like a credit card around the join of the keypad to release it from
the phone.

With the keypad removed your phone should look like below.

Now turn the phone over and remove the four circled screws. You
should now be able to pry the battery compartment away from the rest of
the phone.

With the battery compartment removed your phone should look like
below. A small metal cover, circled below, needs to be removed. You
should be able to pry this off quite easily.

You now have access to a ribbon connector This attaches like a plug
and socket. Just lever it up, away from the circuit board, to unplug.

With the ribbon connector disconnected you will be able to lift the
circuit board away, as shown below.

Now move the slide down and you'll be able to see two more screws.
Remove these screws.

With the two screws removed you can now pry the front cover off, as
shown below. To remove the LCD screen first lever it up slightly from
the point circled below. Once you've lifted it up enough, slide
something like a credit card under the screen.

Below you can see a credit card being used to release the LCD screen.
The screen is held in place with double sided tape and sliding the
credit card underneath will release it. Make sure you keep to the right
hand side of the screen because a ribbon runs under the screen of the
left and this could be damaged.

You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole
procedure for reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support formymobile.co.uk and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
