Tools required for disassembly: Torx 6 screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Two screws
need to be removed. They're covereded by rubber stoppers
which can be levered out with your screwdriver.

- Turn your phone over and open the slide. Now lift the keypad out at the points indicated by the arrows.

- With the keypad removed your phone should look like below. Remove the two screws you now have access to.

- Now pry the battery compartment away around its edge.

- With your battery compartment removed your phone should look like below. Four more screws need to be removed. The two at the top are covered with little stickers. You should be able to lift these off with the point of a sharp knife.

- Now pry the front cover off. It's held in place lightly with clips all the way round its edge.

- With the front cover removed your phone should look like below. Remove the screw you can see.

-
Now lift the navigation pad board up to reveal two ribbon connectors. The two circled connectors need to be detached. They attach like a plug and socket. Just
lever each one away from the board to unplug.

-
The LCD screen and navigation pad board will now be loose and can be removed, as shown below. If you are only taking your phone apart to replace either of these parts you do not need to follow the guide any further. To continue disassembly, remove the four circled screws, peel the long ribbon away from the phone and slide it through the gap.

-
Part of the slide will now come loose, as shown below. The camera surround, circled, will also be loose.

- Turn the phone over and remove the two screws you can see.

-
You can now remove the speaker box, as shown below. Lift the sim reader (circled) up, but note that it is still attached by a ribbon so it cannot be completely removed yet.

-
Remove the black plastic part, as shown below, and you can access to the ribbon connector from the sim reader. Again, this ribbon attaches like a plug and socket so just lever it up, away from the phone, to unplug.

-
You should now have the sim reader removed. Do the same for the ribbon connector for the camera.

-
You should now have the camera removed. Lift the antenna from right to left. It's held in place with a clip, indicated by the arrow, which you can pry away in order to release it.

-
You should now have antenna removed.

-
Turn the phone over and peel away the keypad board. This is held in place with double sided tape, which you may need to replace. It's just standard double sided tape which you can buy from a stationers.

-
The circuit board is held into the housing with clips all the way around its edge. Gently pry these clips away to release the circuit board. The circuit board will still be connected to the flex ribbon by a ribbon connctor. Again, this ribbon attaches like a plug and socket so just lever it up, away from the circuit board, to unplug.

-
Detach the circled ribbon, just like the others.

-
The circuit board should now be loose, like below.

-
Now slide the flex ribbon through the housing. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support us and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
