If you require a new
screen, phone cover and screwdrivers, they can be purchased from the following page:

Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver, Phillips size 0 screwdriver
- Turn your phone over so the back is facing you. Remove the
back cover, battery, sim card and memory card.
Remove the four screws you see in the battery compartment

- Next using your needle or pin begin to
pry the plastic cover at the bottom of the phone off. Be sure to only
lift the plastic with the pin or needle and then pull it off with your
fingers to avoid scratching the phone. With the cover is removed you can
remove the two screws.

- You can now remove the back cover of the
phone by running your fingernail along the join of the housing and
carefully prising it away from the rest of the phone.

- After the two pieces are seperated you
see two ribbon cables which connect the screen and main. It is important
not to pull on these cables with too much force because they can rip
easily. On top of the two connectors you should come across a black
piece of tape. Using the pin or needle start to pull this tape away.
Save this piece of tape to place back over the connectors when you are
done. Mark each connector "L" (left) and "R" (right) with a permanent
marker. Gently pull the connectors from their sockets.

- Once the connectors are removed then the
phone will be in two pieces, as below

- Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove
the four silver screws which hold the keypad cover to the hinge. Now use
the needle or pin to lift the plastic cover at the top and again use
your fingers to pull the cover off. Using the torx driver, remove the
two screws under the cover. Near the hinge you will find two more torx
screws. Remove these as well.

- Now using your fingernail carefully
begin to split the housing. As you run your nail around the edge of the
case it will start to separate. Slide your nail all the way around until
the two parts separate.

- Using the Phillips head screwdriver,
lift the hinge part, indicated by the arrow, from the case. To get the
wires through the hinge you will need to carefully push the connector
through the hole in the centre of the hinge. Try not to bend the cable
too much.

- Now that the hinge is removed you can
remove the LCD from the housing. Carefully apply a little pressure
around the edge of the housing until the screen pops out. Replace the
old screen with new. Reverse the whole process for reassembly and the
job is complete
