Sony Ericsson W705 LCD screen
Tools required for disassembly: Torx 6 screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar plectrum or credit card.
- First remove the battery cover, battery, sim and memory card. Remove
the four screws you can see.
- Pull the battery compartment away from the rest of the phone. It's
held in place with clips which will release with a little force. Remove
the screw circled in red below and lever up the part indicated by the
arrow.
- Lift the circuit board away from the phone. It'll still be attached
by a ribbon which connects like a plug and socket. Simply lever it away
from the phone to unplug.
- Two more screws at the top of the phone need removing. They're
covered by two round stickers. Note that a ribbon, circled near the
bottom of the phone, will have disconnected as you lifted the circuit
board away from the phone.
- Turn the phone over and slide something thin like a guitar plectrum
underneath the sticker, indicated by the arrow, in order to remove it.
The sticker is brittle so be careful not to break it.
- You now have access to two more screws. Remove these.
- Slide your plastic tool all the way around the join of the front
cover to release it.

You should now have the front cover removed. Next remove the screw circled below.

Pull the screen away from the phone and you'll see it's still attached
by a ribbon, circled below. Again, it connects like a plug and socket.
Simply lever it away to unplug.

Your phone should now look like below with the LCD screen removed.

Turn the LCD screen over and disconnect the circled ribbon. Again, this
connects like a plug and socket. Simply lever it away to unplug.

You can now replace the LCD screen. Reverse the whole procedure for
