Tools required for disassembly: Torx 6 screwdriver, Torx 5 screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Then remove
the three torx 5 screws you can see, circled below.

- Now open the flip and remove the two plastic stickers, circled. You
should be able to lift them off with a fingernail or push them off with
one of your screwdrivers.

- Now remove the two torx 6 screws you have access to.

- Now run something thin and flat, like the edge of a screwdriver,
along the join of the battery compartment, in order to lever it free.

- With the battery compartment removed, your phone should look like
below. Now lift the antenna from the point indicated by the arrow.

- With the antenna removed, your phone should look like below.

- Next, peel away the identification sticker.

-
Now lift the circuit board up a little and you'll have access to two
ribbon connectors. These attach just like a plug and socket so simply
use your plastic tool to lever them from the circuit board.

-
With the circuit board removed, your phone should look like below.

-
Now open the flip and look at the top of the screen. You'll see a small
recess, circled, which will allow you to lift the lens away. Apply some
heat using a hot air gun or hair dryer before you do this.

- With the lens removed, your phone should look like below. Four more screws (circled below) need to
be removed.

-
Now run your plastic tool along the join of the front cover in order to
release it.

-
With the front cover removed your phone should look like below.

-
Circled below is a close up of the ribbon cable which is attached to the
outer LCD screen. This ribbon connects in a different way to the last
few and is called a zif connector. The black part is a latch that opens
and closes on a hinge. Carefully lift it up, towards the ribbon and the
ribbon will be free. Refer to the next stage to see the latch in the
open position.

-
Below you can see the zif connector, circled, in the open position.
Next, carefully lever the earpiece up (indicated by the arrow at the top
of the photo below). Three more ribbon cables, indicated by the arrows
at the bottom of the photo, need to be disconnected. Again, these
connect like a plug and socket so simply lever each one up, away from
the phone.

-
Lift the ribbon over, as shown below.

-
Now turn the phone over and you'll be able to remove the screen,
threading the connected ribbon cable through the gap in the housing.

-
Next you should disconnect the camera. Circled is the zif connector for
the camera. Flip the brown/pink hinge over, away from the ribbon, then
lever the camera unit out with your screwdriver.

-
You can now remove the large ribbon cable and circuit board, as shown
below.

-
A pin, circled below, needs to be removed so that you can release the
hinge and split the phone in two. Lever the pin up with your
screwdriver.

-
The pin has now been removed. Next push your screwdriver into the point
indicated by the arrow to push the barrel of the hinge out.

-
You can now separate the two main segments of the phone. You'll also be
able to thread the ribbon through the housing and remove it, as shown
below. Disassembly is now complete. Reverse the whole procedure for
reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support us and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
