Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- First remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Next,
slide open the camera cover and lever the black bezel away from the
phone from the points indicated by the arrows in the photo below.

- With the bezel removed your phone should look like below. Remove the
four screws you can see.

- Close the camera cover and then remove the circled screw.

- With the screws removed you should be able to remove the antenna, as
shown below.

- You now need to remove the front cover by firstly releasing the
three clips circled below. Then pry the front cover away all the way
around its edge.

- With the front cover removed your phone should look like below. If you need to remove the touch screen, heat the front cover with a hot air gun or hair dryer. This will loosen the adhesive holding the touch screen in place. Now
pull the edges of the phone in the direction shown by the arrows and
push the circuit board from the other side. This will release the
battery compartment and allow further access to the main part of the
phone.

- With the battery compartment removed your phone should look like
below.

-
Circled below is the switch for the on/off button. This is held to the
second antenna with a small piece of double sided tape. Carefully peel
it away from the phone.

-
You can now lift the second antenna away from the phone, as shown below.
Two ribbon connectors (circled) need to be disconnected. Each attaches
like a plug and socket. Just lever each one up to unplug. You can now
lift the sim reader and camera flash away from the phone.

-
With the sim reader and camera flash removed your phone should look like
below. Another two ribbon connectors needs to be detached (circled).
Again, they attach like a plug and socket. Just lever each one up to
unplug.

- You can now lift the circuit board out, as shown below. The black
ribbon cable, indicated by the arrow, is held in place with double sided
tape. Carefully peel this away from the phone.

-
Turn the phone over so you can see the screen. The strip with the camera
and speaker on, indicated by the arrows, needs to be carefully peeled
away from the phone. The ribbon will then be free.

-
With the ribbon free, your phone should look like below.

-
The LCD screen is held in place with a strip of double sided tape near
the top. Slide something like a credit card under the screen and it will
release.

-
You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole procedure
for reassembly.
