Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Six screws
need to be removed, circled below.

- Run something like a credit card around the join of the battery
compartment in order to release it from the rest of the phone. Start
around the sides and bottom of the phone first.

- With the battery compartment removed your phone should look like
below. The volume button may also come away, as pictured below. A ribbon connector (circled)
needs to be disconnected. It attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever
this up to unplug. Also removed the two screws circled near the bottom
of the phone. The arrows point to the switch for the volume buttons (on
the left) and the power button and switch for the power button (at the
top). The switches are held to the side of the phone lightly with double
sided tape. Carefully peel them away from the side of the phone, being
careful not the damage their connection to the circuit board.

- The grey part at the top of the phone, with the ringer and memory
card reader on, is held in place with clips around its edge. Pry this
part away from the phone. Another ribbon connector (circled) needs to be
disconnected. Again it attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever this
up to unplug. Now pull the front cover in the direction shown by the
arrows. This should release the clips holding the circuit board in
place. Try to lift the circuit board away as you release the clips.

- With the circuit board removed your phone should look like below.
You should now be able to lift the LCD screen out of the front cover. If
it is stuck in place firmly then first use a hot air gun or hair dryer
to heat around its edge and carefully slide your plastic took under the
very edge of the screen.

- With the LCD screen removed your phone should look like below. Note that the volume button
on the side of the phone will come out with the circuit board, as you
can see below. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
