Tools required for disassembly: Torx 6 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
First remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Next
remove the four torx 6 screws you can see, circled below.

Now run something like the edge of a credit card all the way around
the join of the battery compartment in order to release it.

With the battery compartment removed, your phone should look like
below.

If you want to remove the AV jack, DC jack and speaker, they can
simply be levered free.

Next, a ribbon cable, circled below, needs to be disconnected. This
attaches like a plug and socket, so just lever it up to unplug.

Now lift the circuit board over and you'll see that it is still
connected by another ribbon cable. This cable attaches in a slightly
different way to the previous one (refer to the next stage of the
guide).

The circled ribbon attaches via a zif connector. The pink part is a
latch that opens and closes on a hinge. Below you can see the hinge in
the closed position. Carefully flick the latch up, towards the ribbon,
and the ribbon will be free. Refer to the next stage to see the latch in
the open position.

Below you can see the latch in the open position. You can now pull the
circuit board away from the rest of the phone.

With the circuit board removed, your phone should look like below. To
remove the LCD screen, lift it carefully from the point indicated by the arrow.

With the LCD screen removed, your phone should look like below. If you
want to remove the earpiece, circled below, simply lever it free.

Below you can see the earpiece, having been removed. Disassembly is now complete. Reverse the whole
procedure for reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support formymobile.co.uk and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
