Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, mobile phone opening tool, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery and sim. Two screws
need to be removed, circled below.
- There are four slots in battery compartment. Two are circled below
and there are two opposite. Push a mobile phone opening tool into each
slot and then turn it. This will release the clips that hold the battery
compartment in place
- With the battery compartment removed your phone should look like
below. Next release the clips that hold the front cover cover, circled
below.
- With the front cover removed your phone should look like below.
- Slide something like a credit card under the top half of the LCD
screen. The screen is held in place lightly with double sided tape which
will release when you slide your card under it.
- Remove the piece of black tape, circled below, then disconnect the
screen, which is soldered to the circuit board. Reverse the whole
procedure for reassembly.
