Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- First remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card.

- Now lever off the panel near the bottom of the phone. It's held in
place with double sided tape and you may need to slide a thin blade
underneath to remove it. Then remove the six circled screws. You can now
pry the battery compartment away from the rest of the phone.

- With the battery compartment removed your phone should look like
below. A ribbon connector (circled) needs to be disconnected. It
attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever this up to unplug.

- Lift the buttons for the camera and volume out, as shown below. The
micro switches for the camera and volume, circled below, are stuck to
the side of the phone with double sided tape. Carefully peel them away
from the side of the phone but note they will still be connected to the
circuit board at the other end and these connections should not be
detached.

- You can now lift the circuit board up. The circuit board will still
be attached by a ribbon cable. The connector (circled) needs to be
disconnected. It attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever this away
from the circuit board to unplug.

- With the circuit board removed your phone should look like below.

- Now move the slide down and hold the ribbon cable back and you'll
have access to two more screws. Remove these screws.

-
Now wedge your plastic tool between the black, metal part and the front
of the phone. Lever your plastic tool on each side of the phone and you
should feel the front of the phone release.

-
You should now be able to separate the front of the phone, as shown
below

-
Two ribbons need to be disconnected, circled below. They are connected
in a different way to previous ribbons. To release each ribbon, flick the
brown latch up.

- Below you can see the brown latches open. To disconnect each ribbon,
pull it away from its socket. Circled is a clip that holds the circuit
board in place. Pull this back so that the circuit board is free.

-
Below you can see one of the ribbons removed. The orange coloured ribbon
is stuck to the back o the LCD screen with double sided tape. Carefully
peel it off then lever away the black box at the top which houses the
speaker, ringer and camera. It's held in place with double sided tape
and a little force is required.

-
Your phone should now look like below. Gently lever the LCD screen out
at the points circled below. It's held in place with double sided tape
around its edge.

-
You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole procedure
for reassembly.
