Tools required for disassembly: Torx 5 screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- NOTE: If you only want to remove the LCD screen you can skip
straight to stage 7 of this guide and you will not need the torx 5
screwdriver.
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Six screws
need to be removed. The four screws circled in red are a black colour
and a different size to silver screws which are circled in white.
Remember this when you put the phone back together.

- Now, starting near the bottom of the phone, pry the battery
compartment away.

- With the battery compartment removed your phone should look like
below. A ribbon connector (circled) needs to be disconnected. It
attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever this up to unplug.

- Now lift the circuit board from right to left, as shown below. The
circuit board will still be connected by a ribbon, circled below. Move
onto the next stage to see how to disconnect the ribbon.

- Below is a close up of the ribbon and socket. This type of connector
is called a zif connector. The pink/orange part is a latch which opens
and closes on a hinge. Flick the latch up, away from the ribbon, and you
can then pull the ribbon out of its socket.

- Your phone should now look like below.

- To remove the lens use something blunt, that won't damage the lens,
to lift it from the point shown. The lens is held in place with double
sided tape and once you have lifted it up from the point shown it'll
simply peel away from the housing.

-
With the lens removed your phone will look like below. Remove the four
screws you can see.

-
Run something like a credit card along the join of the front cover to
release it.

-
With the front cover removed your phone should look like below. Four
ribbons need to be disconnected. The three ribbons on the left side use
zif connectors. The black part of the connector, opposite to the end
which each ribbon enters its socket, is a latch which opens and closes
on a hinge. Flick the latch up, towards the ribbon, and you can then
pull each ribbon out of its socket. The very small ribbon, circled
bottom right, has a similar type connector but the latch is white and
it's quite delicate, so be careful. The ribbon circled in white has a
plug and socket type connector. Simply lever this up away from the
phone, to unplug.

- Below you can see the disconnected ribbons.

-
You can now lift the circuit board away from the main body of the phone,
as shown below. Now gently push your screwdriver into the points shown.
The will release the LD screen. Open the flip and the screen should be
loose.

-
You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole procedure
for reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support us and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
