Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a credit card or guitar plectrum
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim etc. Remove the four screws you
can see.

- Remove the Samsung sticker, as shown below. Now remove the screw you
can see.

- You can now remove the battery compartment, as shown below. You may
need to run your plastic tool around the join of the housing to release
it. Next you need to disconnect the ribbon, circled. This attaches like
a plug and socket. Simply lift the connector up, away from the circuit
board to unplug it. Two ribbons also run along each side of the phone.
These are stuck down lightly with double sided tape and simply peel
away.

- Lift the green circuit board back, as shown below, to reveal another
ribbon connector (circled). Again, this attaches like a plug and socket.
Simply pull the connector away from the circuit board to unplug it.

- You can now remove the circuit board, as shown below.

- Remove the identification sticker to reveal six black screws. Remove
these and you can then remove the next layer of the phone, sliding the
ribbon through the gap as you do so.

- Your phone should now look like below. Remove the two silver screws
that hold the black slide mechanism in place. There are also two black
stoppers below the screws which need to be removed. They can be levered
out.

-
Move the slide mechanism to the top to reveal two more black screws
which need to be removed. You also need to remove two rubber stoppers at
the top of the phone (circled) and then the two screws underneath.

-
Now run your plastic tool around the join of the housing to separate the
phone into two parts, as shown below. The three circled parts need to be
peeled back carefully (they're stuck down with double sided tape).

-
Pull the LCD screen away from the front cover.
Now released the circled ribbon. To do so, flick the black latch up and
then pull the ribbon away.

- You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
