Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, plastic
tool such as a guitar plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Remove the
four
screws you can see.

- Run your plastic tool all the way around the join of the battery
compartment to release it.

- Your phone should now look like below. Remove the two circled
screws.

- Now lift the circuit board from left to right. Note that the circuit
board is still attached by a ribbon (circled). This attaches like a plug
and socket. Simply
lever it away from the circuit board to unplug it.

- Your phone should now look like below. Remove the six circled
screws. The slide will now be loose and can be removed. Carefully slide
the flex ribbon (circled) through the gap in the slide when you remove
it.

- Your phone should now look like below. You now need to remove four
more screws. The two screws at the top are covered with small circular
stickers. Just peel them back with your fingernail.

- Unclip the black part shown below.

-
Run your credit card around the join of the front cover to release it.
Then push the metal part in the direction shown by the arrow. Next slide
the ribbon through the gap.

-
Your phone should now look like below.

-
Peel back the translucent/green sticker, as show below. Now release the
circled ribbons and the one indicated by the arrow (obscured by the flex
ribbon in the photo below). To do so, flick the brown latches up and
then pull each ribbon away. Now slide your credit card between the front
cover and LCD to release the LCD screen.

- You should now have the LCD screen and flex ribbon removed, as shown below.
The joystick is stuck down with double sided tape and can be lifted away
carefully and re-attached to the new display. Reverse the whole
procedure for reassembly.
