Tools required for disassembly: Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery and sim. Then remove the six screws you can see, circled below.

- Next, run something thin and flat around the join of the battery compartment, as
shown below. This will release the battery compartment.

- With the battery compartment removed, your phone should look like
below. Two ribbon connectors, circled below in red, need to be
disconnected. Each attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever each one
up to unplug. The ringer, camera and earpiece are indicated by the three
arrows. Carefully lever these up as they are held in place with sticky
tape. The ringer needs a little force. Then remove the three screws
circled in white. You'll now be able to lift the circuit board away from
the rest of the phone.

- With the circuit board removed, your phone should look like
below. If you wish to remove the sim card reader, a ribbon connector, circled below, needs to be disconnected.
Again, this
attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever it up to unplug then lift
the sim reader away from the circuit board.

- In the picture below, the sim card reader has been removed. If you
want to remove the earpiece/speaker box, disconnect the circled
connector. Again, this
attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever it up to unplug then lift
the earpiece/speaker box away from the circuit board.

- In the picture below, you can see that the earpiece/speaker box has
been removed.

- Circled below is the ribbon connector for the camera. If you want to
remove the camera, follow the next few stages.

-
This ribbon connects in a different way to the last few and is called a zif
connector. The brown part is a latch that opens and closes on a hinge.
Carefully lift it up, away from the ribbon, and the ribbon will be free.
Refer to the next stage to see the latch in the open position.

-
Below you can see the connector in the open position and the ribbon is
now free. Pull the camera away from the circuit board to remove it.

-
In the image below you can see that the camera has been removed.

- To remove the screen, continue to follow the guide from this stage.
Start by removing the small circuit board. This part can be listed away
with little force.

-
The small circuit board has now been removed.

-
Next, heat all the way around the edge of the phone with a hot air gun or hair dryer. Do this for about
60 seconds. Next, pull the clips holding the front of the phone in
place, in the direction shown by the arrows. This will release the grey
metal plate. Then slide your plastic tool under the grey metal part
until it is free.

-
With the metal plate removed, your phone should look like below.

-
To remove the screen, heat it around the edge with a hair dryer or hot
air gun. Do this for 30-60 seconds. Then push the bezel which surrounds
the screen in the direction shown by the arrows and you'll be able to
remove the screen.

-
You should now have the screen removed, as shown below. Disassembly
is now complete. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support us and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
