A little force is required. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 disassembly stage 3 The loudspeaker is now free. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 disassembly stage 4 To remove the jack socket, circled below in white, first remove the two screws you can see. Now disconnect the ribbon cable circled in red. It has a plug and socket like connection, so lever it up, away from the circuit board. You can now use your screwdriver to lever the jack socket free. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 disassembly stage 5 The jack socket is now free. Two more ribbon cables, circled in red, need disconnecting. Again, each has a plug and socket like connection, so lever each up, away from the circuit board. The vibrating motor, indicated by the arrow below, is held in place with double sided tape. Carefully lever it up from the point indicated, making sure you don't damage the two wires connecting the vibrating motor to the circuit board. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 disassembly stage 6 The two ribbon cables have now been disconnected and the vibrating motor is now free.  Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 disassembly stage 7 You can now lift the circuit board over from right to left. Another ribbon cable, circled below, needs to be disconnected. Again, this has a plug and socket like connection so lever it up, away from the circuit board. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 disassembly stage 8 The circuit board is now free. The ribbon cables for the front and rear cameras are circled below. Each ribbon is connected via a zif connector, which differs from the previous ribbon cable. The orange/brown part is a latch that opens and closes on a hinge. Flick the latch over, away from the ribbon, and the ribbon will be free. Refer to the next stage to see a close up of the zif connectors. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 disassembly stage 9 Below you can see a close up of the zif connectors with each latch, indicated by the arrows, in the closed position. Flick each latch over, away from the ribbon, and the ribbon will be free.  Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 disassembly stage 10 Below you can see the latches in the open position. With each latch in the open position the ribbon cables will be free and you can remove each camera by pulling them away from the circuit board. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 disassembly stage 11 The front and rear facing cameras are now free. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 disassembly stage 12 Now lever the earpiece and proximity sensor part, circled below, out of its recess. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 disassembly stage 14 To remove the touch screen, first heat the front of the screen for around 30 seconds using a hot air gun or hair dryer. Then push your screwdriver into the recess indicated below. This will raise the screen slightly and allow you to slide something like a credit card under. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 disassembly stage 15 Slide something thin and flat under the outer edge of the screen and it'll come loose. Keep applying heat if it's stuck firmly in place.
