Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Six screws
need to be removed. The two at the top are covered by rubber stoppers
which can be levered out with your screwdriver.

- Run something like a credit card around the join of the battery
compartment to release it. Note that it will still be attached by a
ribbon so do not try to pull it away from the phone completely.

- Move the battery compartment away from the phone slightly and you'll
see it's still connected in the top left corner by a ribbon connector (circled).
This attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever this up to unplug.

- With the battery compartment removed, your phone should look like below.
The volume, camera and power buttons may also come away and will simply
slot back in place. Another ribbon connector needs to be
detached (circled). Again, this attaches like a plug and socket. Just
lever it up to unplug.

- Below is a close up of the connector you need to detach.

- This close up shows the connector having been detached. You should
now be able to pull the front cover away from the rest of the phone.

- Your phone should now look like below.

-
Turn the phone over and remove the two circled screws.

-
You can now remove the metal camera lens surround. A number of
connectors now need detaching. Starting top right, the power button and
volume button are stuck down with double sided tape. These need to be
peeled away from the side of the phone. Now on the left, four screws
need removing. Bottom left, another ribbon attaches like a plug and
socket. Just lever this up to unplug. The ribbon bottom centre has a
slightly different connection. Remove the small piece of black tape then
flick the brown latch up and pull the orange ribbon away from the green
circuit board. The white connector, bottom right, simply needs to be
levered up, away from the phone.

-
The photo below shows all the ribbons disconnected.

- You can now lift the circuit board away from the back of the screen.

-
The screen, its frame and the keypad board come as one part so you do
not need to separate them. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
