Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Also open the
cover for the charger socket. Six screws
need to be removed, circled below in red.

- Run something like a credit card around the join of the battery
compartment to release it from the rest of the phone.

- With the battery compartment removed your phone should look like
below. A ribbon connector (circled)
needs to be disconnected. It attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever
this up to unplug. Next, remove the camera and volume buttons out. Below
the camera and volume buttons are the switches for the camera and
volume. The switches are lightly stuck to the side of the phone and
attached to the phone's circuit board at the other end. Carefully peel
the switches away from the side of the phone, being careful not to
damage their connection to the circuit board.

- You should now be able to lift the circuit board away from the
phone, as shown below. Now pull the edges of the front cover in the
direction shown by the arrows. This will free the LCD screen.

- You should now have the LCD screen removed. If you only want to
replace the screen you don't need to go any further and you can reverse
the whole procedure for reassembly. If you need to remove the speaker, sim reader, camera or ringer then
continue following the guide below.

- Turn the circuit board over and carefully lever the speaker from the
point shown by the arrow. The speaker will still be attached by wires
connected to the circuit board. All you're trying to do is release the
double sided tape which holds the speaker in the black plastic holder.

- Now lever open the metal clips that are on the same side as the
switches for the volume and camera. You can then lift the metal plate
over.

-
When you lift the metal plate over a ribbon will disconnect (the ribbon
and socket are circled in white). Make sure you push this back in when
you put the phone back together. A ribbon connector, circled in red,
needs to be disconnected. It attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever
this up, away from the circuit board, to unplug.

-
With the metal plate and circuit board separated your phone should look
like below.

-
Turn the metal plate over so it looks like below. To remove the ringer
and sim card reader peel the black part away from the metal plate
starting at the point indicated by the arrow. This part is held in place
with double sided tape. Sliding something like a credit card underneath
will help release the double sided tape.

- Your phone should now look like below. The camera, circled below in
red, is held to the metal plate by double sided tape and can be simply
lifted away.

-
Disassembly is now complete. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
