Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Remove the
five screws you can see, circled below.
- Run something like a credit card around the join of the camera cover to release it from the rest of the phone.
- With the camera cover removed your phone should look like
below. A number of ribbon connectors (circled) needs to be disconnected.
Each attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever each one up to unplug.
- You'll now be able to lift part of the circuit board away, as shown
below. The camera will also be loose. Two ribbon connectors, circled,
need to be disconnected. Again, each attaches like a plug and socket.
Just lever each one up to unplug. You can now lift the second part of
the circuit board away from the phone.
- Now remove the two screws you have access to, circled below.
- Now run your credit card along the join of the battery compartment
in order to release it from the front of the phone.
- Your phone should now look like below. The ringer, circled in blue,
will come loose. Another ribbon, circled in red, will disconnect itself
when you remove the battery compartment. Remember to reconnect this to
the other side of the battery compartment when you put the phone back
together.

The ribbon near the bottom of the screen is stuck to the back of the
screen with double sided tape. Carefully peel it away from the back of
the screen, as shown below. You can now lever the LCD screen out of the
front cover. Gently lever it all the way around its edge until it
releases.

With the LCD screen removed your phone should now look like below. The
LCD screen is still held in a metal frame.

Remove these two screws as well. Gently lever it all the way around its
edge and slide your credit card underneath until it releases. Reverse
the whole procedure for reassembly.
