Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver
- Remove the back cover, battery, sim card and memory card.
- Using a plastic shim, such as a guitar plectrum or credit card, lift
the antenna cover away from the phone. Some force is required.
- You should now have the antenna cover removed. Now remove the six
screws you see. The front cover will now be loose.
- You should now have the front cover removed, like below. Now remove the
screw you can see near the top of the phone, above the LCD screen.
- Pull the metal frame towards you, just enough to allow you to remove
the LCD screen. The LCD connector (circled) attaches like a plug and
socket. Simply lift the connector up to unplug it.
- Lift the screen away from the rest of the phone. Your phone should
now look like below and you can replace the LCD. Reverse the whole
procedure for reassembly.
