Nokia E55 disassembly stage 1 Now run something like the edge of a credit card all the way around the join of the front cover in order to release it. The front cover will still be attached so don't try and force it free. Nokia E55 disassembly stage 2 Now turn the phone over and push your screwdriver head into the recess marked by the arrow below. This will free the front cover and keypad. Nokia E55 disassembly stage 3 With the front cover removed, your phone should look like below. Now remove the four torx 6 size screws you can see, circled below. Nokia E55 disassembly stage 4 Now lift the LCD frame over, from left to right. You now have access to a ribbon cable, circled below. This attaches like a plug and socket, so just lever it up to unplug. Nokia E55 disassembly stage 5 The LCD frame will now be free. If you want to remove the earpiece, circled below, simply lever it out of the frame. Nokia E55 disassembly stage 6 Below you can see the earpiece, having been removed from the frame.  Nokia E55 disassembly stage 7 To remove the LCD screen, first apply some heat for around 30 seconds using a hot air gun or hairdryer. This will loosen the adhesive on the back of the screen. Then slide something like a credit card right under the screen. Nokia E55 disassembly stage 8 With the LCD screen removed, your phone should look like below. To remove the circuit board, unplug the circled ribbon cable. Again, this attaches like a plug and socket so just lever it up to unplug. Nokia E55 disassembly stage 9 With the circuit board removed, your phone should look like below. You can remove the antenna by pulling it down, away from the circuit board, as indicated by the arrow below. Nokia E55 disassembly stage 10 The speaker (1), Wi-fi antenna (2), volume button (3), camera button (4) and card reader (5) can be lifted out of the chassis. You can also see the antenna (6) has been removed. Disassembly is now complete. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
