If you require a new screen, phone cover and screwdrivers, they can be purchased
here:
http://www.formymobile.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=gd900lcd
Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Two screws
need to be removed. The screws are covered by black stickers which can
be lifted off with your screwdriver.

- Move the slide down and then run something like a credit card around the join of the
camera cover to release it.

- With the camera cover removed your phone should look like
below. A number of ribbon connectors (circled in red)
need to be disconnected. Each attaches like a plug and socket. Just
lever each one up to unplug. Next, remove the screw, circled below in
blue. The volume button, indicated by the arrow, should now be loose and
can be removed. Below the volume button is the micro switch for the
volume. This is stuck down to the side of the phone with double sided
tape. Carefully peel it away from the side of the phone but note that it
will still be attached to the circuit board and you should not try and
detach it from the circuit board.

- Below is a close up showing everything disconnected in the last
stage. Now lift the circuit board towards you, from the point circled
below.

- You should now have access to another ribbon connector. Again, this
attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever it away from the circuit
board to unplug. With the ribbon disconnected the circuit board will be
free.

- With the circuit board removed, your phone should look like below.
Remove the four screws, circled below.

- Move the slide back up and lift the black part to one side. Be
careful as it is still attached by a ribbon cable. Now remove the six
screws circled below.

-
You can now lift the slide part away from the rest of the phone, as
shown below. Now remove the four circled screws.

-
Move the slide mechanism down to reveal two more screws, circled below.
Then lift the metal part towards you, starting from the point indicated
by the arrow. A ribbon, circled, needs to be carefully slid through a
recess as you do so.

-
Your phone should now look like below. The LCD screen will now loose.
Carefully lift it out of the housing.

- You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole
procedure for reassembly.
