Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Six screws
need to be removed, circled below.
- Next run something like a credit card around the join of the battery
compartment to release it from the rest of the phone.
- With the battery compartment removed your phone should look like
below. The camera, volume and power button will also come away. These
simply slot back in place when you reassemble the phone. Two ribbon connectors (circled)
need to be disconnected. Each attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever
them up to unplug.
- Lift the circuit board up to reveal another ribbon, circled below.
Again, this attaches like a plug and socket so lever it away from the
circuit board. The circuit board will then be released.
- With the circuit board released your phone should look like below.
- Now run something like a credit card around the join of the front
cover to release it from the rest of the phone.
- With the front cover removed your phone should look like below.

Turn your phone over and gently push the area indicated by the arrow.
This will release the LCD screen on the other side of the phone.

The LCD screen will now be loose enough so you to move it to one side.
Next use your plastic tool to lever the metal frame away from the rest
of the phone.

With the metal frame released your will also be able to remove the LCD
screen, as shown below. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
