Tools required for disassembly: Torx 5 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
First remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card.

Use something like the edge of a credit card, to lever free the
cover at the bottom of the phone, as shown below. Do this for both sides
of the cover.

With the cover removed, your phone should look like below and you'll
have access to two torx 5 screws, circled below. Remove these.

Now use your plastic tool to lever the bezel from the two corners of
the phone, as indicated by the arrows below You should feel it unclip at the bottom.

Now use your plastic tool to lever the bezel along each side of the phone.

The bezel should now be loose but still attached at the top of the
phone. Turn the phone over and push the bezel up from the point
indicated by the arrow.

The bezel should now be free, as shown below. Lift the keypad
away if it hasn't already come away with the bezel.

You now have access to four screws, circled below in
red. Remove these screws. A ribbon connector, indicated by the arrow
below, needs to be disconnected. This attaches like a plug and socket so
just lever it up to unplug.

The circuit board can now be lifted away from the main body of the
phone, as you can see below.

Now turn the circuit board over and you'll see two more ribbon
connectors, circled below. Again, each attaches like a plug and socket.
Just lever them up to unplug.

The trackpad will now come free, as shown below.

Remove the plastic shield from the top of the circuit board.

Two metal clips, indicated by the arrows below, hold the screen in
place. Push these back slightly.

Next use a hair dryer or hot air gun to heat around the edges of the
screen for 60 seconds or so. This will loosen the adhesive tape that is
on the back of the screen. Then slide your plastic tool under the screen
to release it.

With the LCD screen removed, your phone should look like below.

Turn the screen over and take note of the version number as you will
need to make sure your new screen is the same. The screen below is
version number 004/111. Disassembly is now complete. Reverse the whole
procedure for reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support formymobile.co.uk and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
