Tools required for disassembly: Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Six screws
need to be removed, circled below.

- Run something like a credit card around the join of the battery
compartment to release it from the rest of the phone.

- With the battery compartment removed your phone should look like
below. Three ribbon connectors (circled)
need to be disconnected. Each attaches like a plug and socket. Just
lever each one up to unplug. Next, lever up the camera, indicated by the
arrow. It's connected to the circuit board by a ribbon but it's held in
position but double sided tape. You just need to release the double
sided tape. Do not disconnect it from the circuit board.

- You should now be able to move the circuit board to release another
ribbon and connector. Again, this attaches like a plug and socket. Just
lever the connector away from the circuit board to unplug.

- The circuit board will now be loose, as shown below.

- Open the slide and you'll be able to see four more screws, circled
below. Remove these screws.

- There is a cover at the top of the phone. It's held in place with
double sided tape and you should be able to pry this away from the
phone, as shown below.

-
You now have access to two more screws. Remove these.

-
The slide part will now be free, as shown below. Now remove the blue
tape, indicated by the arrows below

-
Two more ribbons need to be disconnected. The connectors are different
from the ones in previous stages. They're called zif connectors and the
black part moves up and down/open and closed on a hinge. The connectors
will be closed when you remove the blue tape. They are shown open in the
picture below so you can see which way they move.

- Pull the large orange ribbon away from the back of the screen, as
shown below. Next heat the back of the screen with a hot air gun or hair
dryer for around 20 seconds. Then pull the housing in the direction
shown by the arrows and the screen should raise slightly, allowing you
to lift it out.

-
You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole procedure
for reassembly.
