Sony Ericsson W610i disassembly

Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver


1) Remove the back cover, battery and two screws you can see




2) Lift the aerial cover away from the phone by pushing it in the direction of the arrows. Remove the two screws you see




3) You can now remove the front cover. Run your fingernail along the edge of the cover to unclip it from the rest of the phone




4) Your phone should now be in two parts, like below




5) Lift the circuit board away from the chassis. It's held in place by clips around the edge of the chassis




6) Lift the LCD board away from the circuit board. It's held in place by clips around its edge. Note that the screen was also attached by two ribbons at the back which attach to the circuit board, circled below




7) The LCD screen will now pop out and can be replaced. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly
