Sony Ericsson K610i disassembly

Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver
  • Remove back cover and battery. You'll now have access to two torx 6 screws. Remove these

  • To remove the aerial cover push the torx 6 screwdriver into the recess at the angle shown. Some force is required to make the aerial cover unclip

  • Now remove the two torx screws you have access to at the top of the phone

  • Run your fingernail along the edge of the housing to unclip the front cover

  • Now remove the main part of the phone from the chassis

  • Unclip the ribbon circled below. It attaches like a plug and socket so just lift it and it'll unclip.

  • Unclip the metal plate at both sides

  • Unclip the ribbon, circled below

  • Lever the LCD out, replace with the new LCD and reverse the procedure for reassembly
