Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver, torx 3 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Four screws
need to be removed, circled below.

- Run something like a credit card around the join of the grey bezel to release it from the rest of the phone.

- With the bezel removed your phone should look like below.

- Turn the phone over and you'll now be able to access two more
screws. Remove these screws.

- Now slide your plastic tool around the join of the battery
compartment in order to free it.

- With the battery compartment removed your phone should look like below.
Three ribbon connectors (circled) need to be disconnected. Each attaches
like a plug and socket. Just lever them up, away from the circuit board,
to unplug.

- Next lift the circuit board up and you'll see a wire connected to
the circuit board (circled). Again this attaches like a plug and socket
so lever it away from the circuit board. The circuit board should now be
loose.

-
With the circuit board removed your phone should look like below.

-
Next remove the identification sticker to reveal six more screws. Remove
these screws.

-
You should now be able to separate the phone into two parts, like below.
Remove the four screws you can see.

- Lift the black part away from the phone, as shown below. Two ribbon
connectors (circled) need to be disconnected. Again, each attaches like
a plug and socket. Just lever them up to unplug.

-
Now turn the phone over and heat it around the edge of the touch screen
with a hot air gun or hair dryer. Then slide your plastic tool under the
very edge of the touch screen, in the direction shown by the dotted
line. Try to stay clear of the top left side of the touch screen because
there is a ribbon cable attached there which could become damaged.

-
Now move the touch screen to one side to access another screw. Do the
same on the opposite side.

-
The slide part may now be free from the screen. If not use your plastic
tool to lever it away.

-
The slide part and screen should now be separated, as shown below.

-
To remove the trackpad open the metal door, circled below, then simply pull the pull the trackpad and the ribbon will slide out.

-
Disassembly is now complete. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
