Tools required for disassembly: Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar plectrum or credit card.

  • First remove the battery cover. To do so, push the battery cover in the direction shown by the arrows.

  • Next remove your battery and sim.

  • Open the phone and remove the screw covers, circled below. They just clip off and on and you should be able to lever them off with your fingernail.

  • Your phone should now look like below. Remove the two screws you can see.

  • Run something like a credit card along the join of the front cover to release the clips holding it in place.

  • With the front cover removed your phone should look like below.

  • Lever the screen assembly out but note that it is still attached by a ribbon so don't try to remove it completely. The circled connector need to be detached. It attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever it up to unplug. The screen can then be levered away from the metal frame.

  • You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
