Tools required for disassembly: Torx 4 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Four screws
need to be removed, circled below.

In the direction shown by the arrows, prise each side of the phone
around its edges. The phone should start to split into two halves.

The top and bottom half of the phone is still connected by a ribbon
connector, circled below. This attaches like a plug and socket. Use
something like a credit card to lever it up.

Your phone should now look like below. The ribbon connector and
socket, disconnected in the last stage, are circled in the photo (circled top). The other ribbon
connector and socket (circled bottom) will detach themselves when you
separate the phone into two halves.

Now lift the circuit board from the chassis. It will come away with
little force.

Pull the black part away from the rest of the phone in the direction
shown by the arrows. It's only held in place with double sided tape but
a little force is required. Also remove the two screws at the top of the
phone.

The part removed in the last stage can be separated into three, if necessary, as shown below.

Move the slider up to reveal two more screws. Remove these screws.

You can now lift the slider away from the rest of the phone, as shown below. The circled
ribbon connector needs to be unplugged. This attaches like a plug and
socket so just lever it up to unplug.

Next, carefully peel the ribbon away from the back of the screen. It's
held in place with double sided tape.

The LCD screen will now be loose and can be removed.

To remove the flex ribbon, push the navigation pad through from the
other side of the front cover. Reverse the whole procedure for
reassembly. If you've found this disassembly guide useful, please support formymobile.co.uk and order the tools and parts you need from our site. We ship worldwide!
