Tools required: Plastic shim such as a guitar plectrum or credit
card
- First remove the battery cover, battery, memory card and sim.
- With the slide open, run a plastic shim like a guitar plectrum or credit card all the way
around the edge of the front cover, allowing its removal.
- Your phone will now look like below.
- Lift the keypad part upwards. It will be held down with glue/double
sided tape so you'll probably feel it peeling away
- Now detach the ribbon which leads from the screen. It attaches like
a plug and socket. Simply lift it upwards to unplug it.
- The LCD screen is held in place by a metal frame which needs to be
unclipped around its edge for removal.
- Your phone will now look like below.
- You can now lift away the LCD and replace with new. Reverse the
whole procedure for reassembly.
