Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver
  • Remove the battery cover and battery and the two screws you see.

  • You can now remove the front cover of the phone. Use something like a credit card to run around the join to release the clips which hold the cover in place.

  • You should now have the front cover removed. Now remove the four black screws you see and you can separate the phone into two parts, as shown below.

  • Lift the keypad part from left to right. Note that the keypad part is still attached to the circuit board by a ribbon (lower arrow), which attaches like a plug and socket. To unplug this ribbon simply lift it up. Do the same for the ribbon which attaches the LCD to the circuit board (upper arrow).

  • Your phone should now look like below. The LCD frame (black plastic part) is held to the circuit board with clips around the edges. Unclip these to remove the LCD and frame.

  • You should now be able to remove the LCD from the frame. Again, clips hold it in place. Remove the LCD and replace with new. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
