Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a credit card or guitar plectrum
  • Remove the sticker, indicated by the arrow.

  • Now remove the two screws, circled. Now run your credit card around the join of the front cover to release it.

  • You should now have the front cover removed. Four clips, circled, hold the LCD frame in place. Unclip these and remove the frame.

  • You should now have the LCD frame removed. The ribbon connector, circled, attaches like a plug and socket. Simply lift the connector up, away from the circuit board, to unplug it. Now lever the LCD out a little at the point indicated by the arrow. Do the same on the other side. Then slide your plastic tool underneath the LCD to release it (it's stuck down lightly with double sided tape).

  • You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
