Nokia 6210 Navigator disassembly, screen replacement and repair

Tools required for disassembly: Torx 6 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a credit card or guitar plectrum.

Remove the sticker, indicated by the arrow. Nokia 6210 Navigator disassembly stage 1 Now remove the two screws, circled. Now run your credit card around the join of the front cover to release it. Nokia 6210 Navigator disassembly stage 2 You should now have the front cover removed. Four clips, circled, hold the LCD frame in place. Unclip these and remove the frame. Nokia 6210 Navigator disassembly stage 3 You should now have the LCD frame removed. The ribbon connector, circled, attaches like a plug and socket. Simply lift the connector up, away from the circuit board, to unplug it. Now lever the LCD out a little at the point indicated by the arrow. Do the same on the other side. Then slide your plastic tool underneath the LCD to release it (it's stuck down lightly with double sided tape). Nokia 6210 Navigator disassembly stage 4 You should now have the LCD screen removed.
