If you require a new screen, phone cover and screwdrivers, they can be purchased
here:
http://www.formymobile.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=5610lcd
Tools required: Torx 3 and torx 5 screwdrivers
- First remove the battery cover, battery, sim card and memory card.

- Use something like a guitar plectrum or the edge of a credit card to
lift the keypad out. Position your credit card below the zero key to do
this.

- You should now have the keypad removed, like below.

- Now remove the four screws in the back of the phone.

- Run your fingernail or credit card between the front and back part
of the phone.

- The two parts of the phone will still be connected by a ribbon
(circled below). This connects like a plug and socket. Simply lift it
away from the phone to unplug this connecter.

- Your phone should now look like below. You'll notice another ribbon
(circled) will have unplugged itself. We'll come back to this in the
very last stage of the guide.

- Wedge your credit card underneath the keypad part to remove this
part. It'll be stuck down with double sided tape near the top so will
peel away.

-
Your phone should now look like below.

-
Now turn the phone over and separate the plastic and metal parts shown
below. Start near the top.

-
Your phone should now look like below. Next remove the four screws you
can see (circled).

-
Run your credit card around the edge of the housing to separate the two
parts.

-
Now open the slide slightly so that there is enough space to pull the
ribbon connector through.

-
Your phone should now look like below.

-
Unclip the black part shown below. Disconnect the circled ribbon
connector. Again, it attaches like a plug and socket.

-
You can now remove the LCD and connected ribbons, as shown below. This
part will come away from the phone cover with very little force.

-
The ribbon is attached to the back of the LCD screen with double sided
tape. Peel this away from the LCD. Replace the LCD and stick the ribbon
on to the new back of the new one. Reverse the whole procedure for
reassembly but first take note of the step below.

-
Note that you need to put the phone back together in a slightly
different order to how you took it apart. When you took the phone apart
you separated the top and bottom half of the phone and then removed the
part shown below. When you put the phone back together you need to
reattach the top and bottom half of the phone first and then reconnect
the ribbon (circled).
