Tools required for disassembly: Torx 5 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar
plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Four screws
need to be removed, circled below. Then pull the white band in the
direction shown by the arrows to release the clips holding it in place.

- With the band removed your phone should look like below. The lock
switch will also come away. Now, starting at the point indicated below,
pry the front band away from the phone

- With the front band removed your phone should look like below.

- Turn the phone over and then lift the touch screen away from the
phone. It will still be attached by a ribbon cable to don't try to
separate it just yet. You should also be able to lift the keypad away
from the phone.

- Now slide something thin and flat like a credit card all the way
under the LCD screen in order to release it. Note that the LCD screen
will still be attached by a ribbon cable so don't try and remove it yet.

- Now flip the screen over to access two more screws. Remove these
screws.

- You can now lift the chassis to one side, as shown below. Two ribbon
connectors, circled, need to be detached. They attach like a plug and
socket. Just lever each one up, away from the circuit board, to unplug.

-
Your phone should now look like below. The touch screen and LCD screen
ribbons need to be disconnected (see the next stage of the guide).

-
Below you can see the ribbon connectors for the LCD screen (left) and
touch screen (right). The connector on the left is a zif connector. The
pink coloured part is a latch. Lift it up and the ribbon will release.
The connector on the right is like a plug and socket. Simply lever it up
to unplug.

-
You should now have both screens removed. Reverse the whole procedure
for reassembly.
