Nokia 2730 Classic disassembly, screen replacement and repair

Tools required for disassembly: Torx 6 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar plectrum or credit card.

Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Two screws need to be removed, circled below. Nokia 2730 Classic disassembly stage 1 Run something like a credit card around the join of the front cover to release it from the rest of the phone. Nokia 2730 Classic disassembly stage 2 With the front cover removed your phone should look like below. Now remove the four circled screws. Nokia 2730 Classic disassembly stage 3 Your can now lift the circuit board away from the body of the phone, as shown below. Two clips, circled below, hold the LCD frame to the circuit board. Release these clips and lift the metal frame away. Nokia 2730 Classic disassembly stage 4 With the LCD frame removed your phone should look like below. A ribbon connector (circled) needs to be disconnected. It attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever this up to unplug. Nokia 2730 Classic disassembly stage 5 The LCD screen will now be free and can be lifted away from the circuit board, as shown below. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
